[REVIEW] Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Hello there ~ Today I came to share my thoughts on this interesting, bubbly and funny clay mask from Elizavecca. I ordered it from Cosmetic Love back in February and now I've formed my opinion about the mask :) Continue reading if you want to find out more ~

 DESCRIPTION
What it is

This bubble clay mask is both a deep-cleansing makeup remover and pore cleanser in one! With its special formulation of charcoal powder, it deeply penetrates the pores to thoroughly get rid of deep-seated dirt while supplying proper nutrients to keep the skin healthy and supple. It not only cleanses, refines and tightens pores but it also helps control excessive sebum which usually causes the pores to be clogged.

How to use

Scoop a proper amount of the Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask and spread evenly on dry, uncleansed face. Wait for 5 minutes until bubbles start to appear then gently massage it all over the face to melt down dirt. Rinse off with lukewarm water.

 PACKAGING

The mask comes in a sturdy plastic jar. Besides the product name there's no English at all in the packaging. No usage instructions, no ingredients - nothing. Before you can start using the mask you have to remove the plastic wrap from the jar. When you twist the lid open there's a spatula and another lid for hygiene reasons :) I took photos of all the text in the outer packaging but I unfortunately can't translate it. I can read some hangul so I'm able to understand how long to leave the mask on my face etc.

Manufactured on 19th January 2015
Can be used until 19th January 2019
(or 12 months after opening)

 WHERE TO BUY?

You can buy the mask from Cosmetic Love with 11,43$. Make sure to use my referral link when registering to get a special 15% discount code for your first order.

 SCENT & TEXTURE

The scent is fresh and mild. I can't point any scent it reminds me of. Somewhat flowery yet somewhat fruity yet muddy scent LOL ! It's a pleasant scent anyways :) When you open the packaging and listen carefully you can hear the mask makes a bubbling/fizzing sound ^^

The mask feels really nice on the skin and doesn't make my face feel like it's burning, doesn't dry on the face which is unique for a clay mask. It just bubbles and stays moist for the whole time it's on my face. When it's all bubbled in 5-10 minutes I tap down the bubbles and wet my fingers. With wet fingertips I massage my face before rinsing the mask off with a lukewarm water. When rinsing it foams up just like any foaming cleanser. After a thorough rinsing my face looks and feels a lot cleaner and brighter :) I haven't noticed any noticeable different on my pores or blackheads but my face overall (at least temporarily) looks better.

Bubbling in process ~

You look like a foam monster with the mask on ^^

 SUMMARY

+ Funny, interesting concept
+ Doesn't dry my face
+ Doesn't irritate my skin
+ Works well on my skin
+ Spatula which makes the product easier to scoop out. When spreading the mask on your face I recommend you use fingers because the mask bubbles up really fast. It takes few seconds for it to start bubble on my face.

- No English information on the packaging

RATING: 4½/5  Would I repurchase this product? I think I might. It's a funny mask :D It's not your typical clay mask that sucks away all the dirt from the pores and tightens them at first use. I think it might do that on a long term use however. I recommend this mask as it's suitable for all skin types - even my sensitive-oily-dull-you-name-it skin likes this mask ! Only minus I have comes from the lack of English on the packaging... But luckily there's internet ! I recommend you search for video reviews of this so you can see the bubbling process ^^
