[REVIEW] Lumene Ultra Sensitive Moisturizing & Calming Mask

Hello there ~ Today I'm reviewing LUMENE Ultra Sensitive Moisturizing & Calming Mask for you. For those who aren't familiar with the brand; It's a Finnish brand that carries mainly skin care & make-up products for both genders. I believe it's pretty well known in the other countries - such as Russia, Sweden and United States. Correct me if I'm wrong. You can read more about the brand from the Lumene website :)

A velvety soft mask for sensitive skin. Effectively helps to minimize skin irritation, redness and tightness, skin feels instantly comfortable and smooth. Provides optimal moisture.

Effectively moisturizes, soothes and strengthens sensitive skin with the unique skin barrier technology combining Arctic blueberry extract and ceramides. Clinically proven to strengthen skin's own protection mechanism against external irritants and reduce instantly sense of burn, redness and feel of tightness.

Developed in co-operation with the Finnish Allergy and Asthma Federation especially for the needs of sensitive skin. Dermatologically tested. Fragrance- and colorant-free.

75 ml ℮ 2.5 FL.OZ.

As you can see from the photos above the mask comes in a simple yet classy looking squeeze-type tube. From the outer packaging you will find all the information you need in Finnish, Swedish and English. All the ingredients, warnings, usage directions and periods etc. can be found in the packaging. What I like a lot about the packaging is that even though there is a lot of information printed there's "air" in the packaging. I mean it pleases my eyes to see that there's not too much going on in the packaging. Besides cute packagings I'm a sucker for simple & informative packagings :)

I added the ingredients to COSDNA so you can see the safety & purposes of the ingredients :)

There's no scent at all no matter how close I sniff ! Thus the promise of the scent-free product is fulfilled ! Now to the texture; it's very lightweight. I just applied it on my very dry hand to see how fast it absorbs - the mask sinks in to my skin immediately ! The skin isn't sticky afterwards at all. Lumene suggests to use this 1-2 times a week for about 10 minutes and then to pat away the remains with a tissue. I don't even have that dry skin but after 10 minutes there's nothing left to pat. Thus I use this mainly as an overnight sleeping mask but I don't know if that's suggested LOL !

One thing about the feeling of the mask on my very dry hand; it tingles a bit. I've been neglecting my hand care during this autumn and now it's changing to winter soon. Last winter I was too careless and forgot to use gloves one day and got a little frost bite on my hands... That's why some products tends to tingle my hands if I've forgotten to take care of them. Just a FYI in case your face has frost bites. On my face it cools down the face when applying and in the morning when I wash the mask off I feel my skin is sooooooo soft ! Like a baby's butt LOL ! You can see how it applies from the photos below :)

+ Scent-free
+ Alcohol-free
+ Can be used for all skin types regardless of the age
+ Classy & informative packaging
+ Has a secure seal which you have to remove before opening (Yours truly forgot to take a photo of that...)
+ Does what it promises
+ Doesn't cause breakouts for my skin (!!)

- Tingles a bit on my frost bite hand

RATING: 4½/5  Have you tried this product before? Or any other Lumene products? What is your favorite?

  1. Hi! Thanks for the helpful review and the tips for leaving it on as a sleep mask :) I got this for free from livbox ages ago and just have the chance to put it on right now as we speak XD and I didn't have any idea how this would work since it's not like your regular clay mask. But since reading your review, I feel that it makes sense to use it overnight instead. Thanks again!
