[REVIEW] Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Essential BB Cream

Hello and welcome to my... I don't even know the count anymore... Anyway BB Cream review ! On this post I'm reviewing Skinfood Platinum Grape Cell Essential BB Cream. It has SPF45 PA+++ and the shade of my sample is #1 Light Beige. There is also darker shade #2 Natural Beige.

Skin Food Platinum Grape Cell Essential BB Cream: This triple functional BB cream not only protects your skin from UV rays but also contains adenosine and arbutin which firms and brightens skin, and has platinum with grape cell extract providing skin elasticity.
This BB cream creates a vivid and attractive skin and keeps your skin moisturized and shined all day long such as you apply the essence.

The full sized product looks just like the sample. Just that it comes in a pump bottle. If I talk about the looks of the design... It's ugly to be honest. And messy looking. That's all I have to say about the looks XD

You can buy the full sized product from Cosmetic Love. The full sized product comes with a size of 45g and the pump bottle costs 27,60$. A bit pricey if you ask me... But we don't know how good or bad this is so let's not give up yet !

The scent of this one was artificial and it smelled like medicines to me. Pretty bad smell if you ask me... It didn't smell like grapes at all I think.

Then about the texture... It seemed to be a tad "dry" or "powderish" if I were to describe it. It was a bit difficult to blend. But after a while I think it blended pretty well.

As usual ~ Sorry for the blurry pictures. My camera wasn't co-operating with me.

Looks like pretty natural coverage. This doesn't cover redness that much so I'd recommend to use another layer or concealer or something if you have bad acne scars or zits or just red skin. Or a primer. I used one cream to reduce redness on my red spots so they're not that visible. I've taken it as a part of my skin care routine twice a day.

Bare face and one layer of BB Cream. Both pictures are taken under natural daylight with a little help from "fake" light XD It gives a nice and natural coverage in my opinion.

This is the result of an oil test before and after 5 hours. It produced quite a lot oil. I guess this would be good for those with dry skin? It seems to be moisturizing during the day as well.

And on my face after 5 hours ! I didn't use powder or blotting paper. Looks like the oil control on my face is pretty good. It has a nice glow and it's not cakey I think.

+ Suits my skin (doesn't make it look too oily)
+ Fits my skin tone
+ Has a good sunblock (SPF45 PA+++)
+ I know what shade the sample was
+ Doesn't necessarily need powder

- Pricey
- Ugly packaging
- Bad smell
- A bit difficult to blend

RATING: 3+/5  Would I buy the full sized product? I don't know. I might consider this but the price is tad too much for what I'd pay for a BB Cream... But we'll see.

That's it for this review ! I hope I can take the pictures for one or two reviews during the weekend. Or maybe on Monday as well since I have a day off ~

How was this review? Have you tried this BB Cream before? Tell me your thoughts about it below :)

  1. I've never tried this BB cream before, but judging by your lovely review, I don't think I'll be trying it out at all. If it doesn't smell that great and is hard to blend, then it is somewhat useless for me. :/ But thank you so much for the honest review! ^_^

    1. Yeah it's not the best I've tried... Thanks for the comment ^^

I'd love if you could leave me a comment on what you thought about this post :) Comments make every blogger happy :)
